Spaghetti Bolognese

Method of recipe

  • Heat the 2 tablespoons of oil in a large deep frying pan 2 minutes. Add the onion and garlic sauté 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the Beef mince and Primo diced Bacon pieces to the pan and cook until well-browned 5-6 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.
  • Finally stir in the tomato passata sauce and water. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and season with salt & pepper.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a small pan over a medium heat and brown the remaining portion of bacon pieces until crispy. Drain and set aside
  • Serve Bolognese sauce over freshly cooked and drained pasta, garnish with crispy bacon pieces, shaved Parmesan cheese and parsley leaves.

Notes:

  • Make it spicy! Add a little sliced red chilli to the sauce prior to serving.
  • Sauce maybe prepared prior and refrigerated for up to 7 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator or frozen in air tight containers for up to 6 months.
